Eleanor Shember-Critchley
Welcome to my website, part of the assessed coursework for Applied Web Design and Management. This was a unit in the final year of my degree and allowed me to play with new techniques and design. Inside this website are links to further assessed tasks and a development log of the website.
A little about me. I am a prospective Phd student at MMU, studying digital communications and ethnic minority radio broadcasting. I've lived in Manchester for eight years, previous to university I was schlepping about in a variety of jobs, so I'm not short of work experience.
Andy and I have been married for five years now, no children, though our needy cat, Merry, just about equates to one. We have nicknamed him Chairman Meo, as he takes after his dictatorial namesake very well.
What else? Interests, well I'm learning to play acoustic guitar, have played the violin since I was very young. I love to read, particularly books by Michael Marshall Smith, Poppy Z Brite and Jeff Noon. Music is a bit of a central love in our house, and I suppose we really need to move as the books, cd's and records are starting to take over. I should mention too that I have a penchant for tattooing, or rather, being tattooed. Like anything, I am a work in progress.
That's about it for now. I suppose I should explain the photo at the top of the page, that's me, taken by my best friend Kirsty in New Zealand, I think I was moshing, perhaps a little tipsy, after a marathon card session at hers. Oh yes I forgot, I love to travel too...
